As part of the wider experience for this year’s Flood & Coast Conference, CIWEM will be running a series of free workshop webinars – starting towards the end of May – all focused on topics aligned to this year’s conference programme.
On Friday 29th May 12:00 – 13:00, there will be an interactive workshop aimed at early career professionals, sharing tools and techniques used to build confidence and communicate with impact.
Event description
We came together as a mentoring group in the Women in FCERM mentoring programme to work on our confidence and how to get ahead as early career professionals. We used various tools and techniques to support us and they were so effective we now want to share them.
This session is especially targeting other early career professionals but many of us can struggle with effective communication so everyone is welcome.
We will focus on a couple of networking tools: planning for your event and mastering your lift speech.

• an improved ability to communicate with impact
• encouragement to take opportunities and say yes!
This session is co-presented by a WiFCERM mentoring programme group, with representatives from JBA Consulting, Environment Agency, North Kent Marshes Water Level Management Board, WSP and the WiFCERM Committee.
